🌑 RISE & RESIST
Austin, Texas · April 25
Presented by Divine by Jeanne
Rise & Resist is a full-day community gathering rooted in resistance, culture, history, and collective power. This is not just an event. It’s a reminder that survival is political, joy is resistance, and astrology has always been a tool for liberation.
We gather across daylight and nightfall to learn, connect, support Deaf small businesses, honor our ancestors, and celebrate the cultures that continue to rise - despite systems designed to silence them.
🌞 DAY EVENT
Rise & Resist: Community Market + Astrology as Resistance Workshop
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The day centers education, grounding, and community care. Market Vendor List will be announced.
Alongside a community market featuring local Deaf-owned small businesses, artists, and vendors across cultures, Jeanne Marrero hosts a live Astrology as Resistance workshop exploring how astrology has historically been used to understand power, cycles, oppression, survival, and collective awakening.

🌙 NIGHT EVENT
Rise & Resist: Community Bash
7:00 PM – 2:00 AM
At night, we celebrate. This is a community-centered bash honoring Latinx cultures, Black & Brown communities, queer joy, and collective resistance. We will have prizes, drag show, performances.
Expect music, performers, drag, movement, laughter, and togetherness. Because joy is not separate from resistance. It is part of it.
